It’s hard to pick one great play from this amazing rout of a Super Bowl. Seattle led it from the very start with a safety and stretched their lead with a 69 yard interception return in the second. But it was Percy Harvin’s 87 yard kickoff return to start the second half that seemed to really break Denver. Seattle went on to win by 7 touchdowns and get their first NFL championship.

In the 2011 NFC Wild Card game, Seattle was facing down the defending Super Bowl champs, New Orleans. With under 4 minutes to go in the game, Seattle were holding on to a 4 point lead and needed to run out the clock. That’s when coach Pete Carroll called for the “”17 Power”” for the first time in the game. Marshawn Lynch went into Beast Mode and the rest is history. Lynch scored a 67 yard touchdown run that broke 9 tackles and led Seattle to a 41 – 36 victory.

Shaun Alexander was the 2006 NFL MVP and the MVP of the NFC Championship game that took Seattle to their first Super Bowl. He had 34 carries for 132 yards and 2 touchdowns. His first touchdown came after a superb 15 yard run where he made 2 defenders miss.

Considered one of the greatest upsets in NFL history, Seattle took down defending AFC champs Miami. With under 4 minutes to go Dan Marino’s Miami team was up by 3, due to an interception by Dave Krieg. With time running out Krieg quickly rallied, throwing two passes to Steve Largent and then handing off to Kurt Warner for a 2 yard TD run. Seattle went on to win by 7 after Miami’s kicker fumbled the kickoff, allowing Seattle to score 3 more before the end.
