2010 Eastern Conference Semifinals: Game 7
The Comeback
Philadelphia vs Boston
4 – 3
14 May, 2010
The chances of Philadelphia fans being able to celebrate a comeback quite like this again is slim to none. Down 0-3 in the series… the Flyers force a Game 7. Down 0-3 in Game 7, they march back again to tie it up and eventually Gagne scores the game and series winning goal. History was made.
1974 Stanley Cup Finals: Game 6
The First Cup
Philadelphia vs Boston
1 – 0
19 May, 1974
Arguably the most iconic goal for Flyers faithful, Bobby Clarke’s OT goal in Game 2. To set the scene, Philadelphia hadn’t won in Boston for 19 straight games. Taking this game prevented a Game 7 and was the turning point in the series and arguably Philadelphia hockey history.
2000 Eastern Conference Semifinals: Game 4
Winner in the Fifth
Philadelphia vs Pittsburgh
2 – 1
4 May, 2000
The third longest playoff game in hockey history. In 2000, Pittsburgh and Philadelphia faced off in a memorable Game 4 that went into 5 Overtimes. The winner was eventually found by Primeau, who scored a spectacular solo goal to steal a pivotal game in Pittsburgh. Philadelphia would win the series.
1974 Stanley Cup Finals: Game 2
We Believe
Philadelphia vs Boston
3 – 2
9 May, 1974
The most memorable moment in Philadelphia hockey history, their first Stanley Cup. It wasn’t easy either. They had to face a Boston team that was terrific throughout the regular season and featured the top 4 scorers in the league that season. Shutting them out 1-0 in Game 6, PHI claimed the title.
