This Montreal Maroons vintage-inspired cap is a must have for any retro hockey fan. Our new favourite hat features a truly vintage look with a wool fabric and embroidered logo. It has a slightly higher crown than a dad hat, and features an adjustable wool strap.
The Maroons were Montreal’s English-speaking NHL team from 1924-1938. They shared the Montreal Forum with the Montreal Canadiens until 1938, and were a highly competitive team. They won the Stanley Cup in 1926 and 1935. The Great Depression hurt attendance numbers for both Montreal teams, but the Canadiens had more francophone supporters than the Maroons’ anglophone supporters, so it was the Maroons that had the worst attendance records in the league. The team folded in 1938.
