This exquisite image is hand printed from the original 4″ by 5″ transparency taken during a 1949 SPORT magazine photo session to illustrate an article marveling at the possibility of a college boy, Roland LaStarza, becoming world heavyweight champ. Here, LaStarza receives instruction from manager Jimmy D’Angelo. This image was one of 61 that comprised The Italian Stallions exhibition, part of the 2006 Contact Photo Festival in Toronto.
Printed on 100% Hahnemuhle cotton rag paper using UltraChrome K3 pigmented inks for the highest available archival quality. Each piece is hand titled and numbered, carries The SPORT Collection emboss and is accompanied by a signed Certificate of Authenticity. Mounting, matting and framing are also to the highest archival standards.
Finished image size, 18″ wide by 22″ high. Framed size, 26″ by 29″.

Returns
The inventory is always changing and we do not completely manage it because of the fact that many parties are involved, including our warehouse and factory. The actual stock levels can fluctuate at any time. Please be aware that it's possible that your order will become unavailable even after you have placed the order.
Our policy lasts for thirty days. If 30 days have gone in the past since you purchased, unfortunately we can't offer you a refund or exchange.
For your item to be eligible for return it must be in its original packaging, unopened and in the same state as you received it. It must also be in its original packaging.
