Paine Proffitt is a well-regarded artist from the Philadelphia area, now based in England. He’s worked with the Boston Red Sox, Minor League Baseball, West Bromwich Albion FC, Sunderland AFC, Aberdeen FC, Port Vale FC, Grimsby Town, Aston Villa, Derby County, Nottingham Forest, Brentford and others. Proffitt also has artwork in the permanent collections of The National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum, The National Pastime Museum, The World Rugby Museum and exhibited at The National Football Museum.
Maple Leaf Gardens was home to the Leafs from 1931-1999. This handsome, historic building saw many wins and losses, Stanley Cup glory, concerts, and more. The team may have left, but the structure was preserved, thankfully, and it now holds a grocery store and part of the Ryerson campus. The Gardens will always be an important part of the Leafs’ history.
