Our fine art photography – originally featured in SPORT Magazine – brings your favourite sporting legends to life in print form! Each image is exclusive to our gallery and stems from the physical negative.
Many argue that Willie Mays is the most talented player in Major League Baseball history. A true five-tool player, Mays could hit for power and average, throw, run, and catch. In fact, he made the catch, that incredible over-the-top grab 420 feet from home at the Polo Grounds. Another amazing feat? “The Say Hey Kid” won MVP awards 11 years apart. That’s some incredible consistency over a career. In short: you name it, Mays could do it. And he’d get it done with a smile!
Production time may take 1-2 weeks as most prints are made to order; please contact us via email (hello@thesportgallery) if you need your order rushed.
Due to the small file size, images featured here may be low quality – the final product will be vivid and sharp.
Quality
Each reproduction is printed on 100% Hahnemuhle cotton rag paper using UltraChrome K3 pigmented inks and produced to the highest standard of archival quality available.
All frames are made to order. Framing is done by hand in Toronto and takes 2-5 business days, depending on the timing. We use only the highest archival quality framing materials, from acid-free matting, to conservation glass, to ensure our prints last many lifetimes. We use ArtCare mountboard and matboard, Tru Vue UV-coated conservation glass, and black Roma solid poplar frames from Italy. All of our materials meet museum standards for fade resistance and durability.
