The Toronto Huskies were Canada’s first NBA team. In fact, the first ever NBA game (then called the BAA) was played in Toronto at Maple Leafs Gardens on November 1st, 1946 between the Toronto Huskies and the New York Knickerbockers. The Huskies wouldn’t play a second season, and Toronto wouldn’t get another NBA team until 1995 with the Raptors, but the legacy of the Toronto Huskies lives on with the Raptors team, as a special jersey. This is a replica of the Toronto Huskies jersey worn by Raptors’ Marcus Camby.
The Toronto Raptors selected Marcus Camby second overall in the first round of the 1996 NBA draft. In his first season with the raptors he made the NBA All-Rookie First Team, averaging 14.8 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 2.1 blocks per game. He was traded to the New York Knicks in 1998.
Whether it’s playing an evening pickup game or wearing to your favourite team’s next matchup, this jersey is crafted with a wearable everyday fit, featuring screen-printed twill embellishments and a mesh body for breathability throughout activity. This jersey is sized for men; women may need to size down accordingly based on length and fit.
